If you’re going to borrow a concept car for your latest single, top of the list must be the Project Maybach by Virgil Abloh. I’m glad Drake figured out an entire scene for the car, including an idyllic lake, friends fishing, and enjoying its reclining seats.
For the best-ever car integration in a music video, it’s tough to top Dave’s impossibly catchy 2021 song Clash (ft. Stormzy)—shot largely at the Aston Martin factory. Test track footage while being X-Ray’d? Top that, Top Gear.
Now for something much more lo-fi, ALBO drives Built By Legends’ EG6 test car. A newer operation, Built By Legends creates incredible restomods with the top tuners in Japan. Like, MINE’S, Opera Performance, and Spoon. Formerly producers of the English version of Best MOTORing (and GTChannel!), this team already has proven they have the access and vision to make some astounding vehicles.
I, for one, can’t wait to see what’s remastered next by this team. Just, wow.
